Journey’s End
It’s hard to believe that only minutes away from Pigeon
Forge you could find a log cabin
with so much privacy and seclusion as Journey’s End. Only a
half mile from the entrance to the quiet Bear Mountain area,
Journey’s End is one of the most accessible cabins in the
Smokies that offers real privacy and your very own piece of
the mountain.
As our guests approach Journey’s End, they are impressed
with the most thoroughly
landscaped cabin in the area. The porches offer both
screened and covered spaces, as well
as open sun decks, with every inch of deck offering a
private view of this pristine wilderness known as the Great
Smokies. Out in the back yard, a horse shoe throwing pit
makes for fun times, and the seclusion makes these times
your very own.
Entering by the back deck, you are greeted by a sunning area
with deck loungers, and a large covered area with a huge
picnic table. You can enjoy your picnic protected from the
weather, and shaded as well !
To the right of the entrance is the screened in hot tub area
with a very large hot tub that
offers its warm, bubbling jets of relaxation with a totally
private view of the forest.
Just inside, the dining area stands ready for your guests to
gather at meals, with a solid oak table and 6 chairs.
Just behind the dining area is the fully equipped kitchen,
with microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and coffee maker. Of
course, the convenient proximity of the kitchen to the
dining area provides tremendous ease and simplicity of
service for your guests.
Cathedral, open beam architecture and gorgeous woodwork
marks the interior of
Journey’s End. At the far end from the kitchen in this great
room area is the living area, with a stone fireplace
reaching to the vaulted ceiling, and a 40 inch flat screen
HDTV / DVD. A comfortable queen sleeper sofa and an
upholstered rocking chair provide seating accommodations.
Aside from the gorgeous woodwork and stonework in the great
room, the pool table gets
our guests’ attention for many a game and lots of fun. It’s
easy to watch the game or your favorite show or movie on the
flat screen TV in between shots.
On the west end of the great room is the door to the west
side King, four poster bedroom with private bath. This
bedroom looks out over the back deck with its on view of the
forest, and great separation from the east bedroom. The
private bath for the west bedroom also has the ultimate in
private relaxation - a large whirlpool tub.
The east bedroom is also a King log bedroom – authentic,
rustic log, with its own private bath. The east bedroom also
has its own view overlooking the back deck and the forest.
Out on the deck, Journey’s End features a deck swing on
the west end, and rocking
chairs on the east end.
With so many features and amenities and private spaces with
private views, Journey’s End will be a welcome stop and
indelible memory for each and every guest.
